Italian Esports Open – Quake Champions – Finals layed host to the Quake Champions final event in November 2018 with the entrants bidding to win the tournament, with the prize money of $7,500 being divided between the top four players. The winner went on to win $2,500. That was quite an incentive for all of the players to try their best to win the tournament.
The tournament was completed on 1 November 2018 with all matches taking place in a single day. All the players represented their Quake Champions teams. This was by and large an invitation tournament with one last entry via a qualification event. The tournament was keenly contested with all the players intent on winning the whole thing. The structure of the tournament meant the contests stayed interesting.
Altogether there were ten players in this Open, with the semi finals and the finals being the best of three games, with the grand final being the best of three winner of two matches, and the losers’ final being the best of five games. All the games were completed without a problem and players challenged
Nine players were invited to take part in the event with the final contestant having to win a qualifying event to earn their entry. There was a Group A and Group B with the winners of those groups playing clawz and k1llsen in the Double Elimination Event that determined who won the tournament over all.
The contestants came from across the world including Britain, France, Germany, Italy, India, Ukraine and the United States. The player who qualified was also Italian. Two of the players who finished in the top four are members of the Myztro Gaming team, namely clawz and Raisey.

That meant Rapha and Raisey went through to the Double Elimination bracket to compete against clawz and k1lsen for the top four places and the prize money.

The Quake Champions in Italy was therefore won Raisey, who took home the title and the winners’ prize.
